Anthony Quinn bay
The beach at Anthony Quinn bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on Rhodes. The bay is named after the famous Mexican actor, who starred in the International Blockbuster film, Cannons of Navarone in the 1960s. When Quinn came to Rhodes to shoot the film, he was blown away by the beautiful Bay and asked the Greek state If he could buy it. An agreement was never carried through however and after years of controversy, the Court ruled that it was unenforceable. So Quinn, never got his Bay. Despite this, the locals name the beach Anthony Quinn in his honor.
The waters owe their deep emerald color to the lush green vegetation which surrounds the beach.
Natural stone surfaces ideal for reclining under the sun, pine trees reaching down to the water’s edge, emerald green water.
Anthony Quinn Bay is situated on the east coast of Rhodes, about four kilometres south of Faliraki. The waters owe their deep emerald colour to the lush green vegetation which surrounds the beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on Rhodes.
The finest spot is the rock right in the centre of the beach, with room for just a few sun beds. At the top of the rocks you will find a canteen. The crystal clear water and gorgeous underwater scenery also makes Anthony Quinn bay one of the best areas in Rhodes for snorkeling.
In this Bay there are thousands of small fish and you are invited to use the complimentary snorkeling gear, which is at your disposal on the boat.
